I'm looking to transition back to Psych from Acute Rehab. I would like ANY info on any of the hospitals in which I've applied. I've read terrible things about St. E's, online, but not from those who actually work there. I... Read More

I applied through CWV website and the salary was also stated there. The starting salary for nurses with no experience then was 48k. I didn't try to negotiate. You should try to negotiate with St.E's because a co-worker with years of experience told me she was offered a low salary but refused because she knew how much a friend is being paid at St.E's, so she negotiated for that same amount and she got it.

I also didn't get any info during the interview process until orientation. I have had people also complain about the rudeness of HR lady but did not experience it myself.

I too applied at St. E's and NVMHI. The HR lady from St. E's was rude to me as well. I didn't feel comfortable with the stats of the place and her rudeness just made me not want to interview there. I did interview at NVMHI last week and hope to hear something soon. Good luck to you too Mingez....hope we both get hired there!

I interviewed with Earl (I'm terrible with remembering names, esp when I'm nervous :-)) I didn't ask and he didn't say what unit he was hiring for.

In my own opinion, HCA is not a great organization to work for. I've transitioned to Bon Secours and they're awesome.

I was just curious if you ever heard back after your interviews, and which facility you chose? I am a new graduate nurse from Maryland, and am looking into applying at a psychiatric facility. Which do you recommend? Are they both hiring new grads? Thanks for any help!

Hey! I got hired at NVMHI. I'm on their most acute unit, and I'm still on orientation. Once I'm up and running, I'll let you know.
