...starting 9/28 day classes. I'm supposed to start that day and just registered for classes last week. Still waiting for my letter though.:uhoh21:

How was the registration process with this school? I really want to go to school to become a LPN and really do not have the time to go through a community college. But I have heard a ton of negative things about MCI. Does financial aid cover alot of the tution?

Reg was fairly easy (for LPN program), just take the TEAS test and pay the $100 reg fee. The only neg I see about this school so far are they are not an NLNAC accredited school and if you plan on bridging to RN most schools won't accept your credits. Otherwise I think they're a pretty good school. As far as financial aid more than likely you will have to take out a loan (they do both government and private loans). I did receive a grant for $3300. But I have gi bill and MyCAA (for military spouses) covering the costs.

Specializes in ER, doctor's office-family practice.

I am almost finished with their PN program in Richmond, it's tough b/c it goes so fast, and your credits don't transfer, but I like it. I have a wonderful class, there are 5 of us that have been together from the beginning. I have both private and federal loans to pay for it and you don't have to repay until 6 mos. after you finish so that's good( unless you drop out). I heard a lot of bad things but I really have enjoyed it. Just stay focused and you will do well, CONGRATS!!!
