Anyone else waiting for application to come for Fall 2011 NVCC?

I sent out my checklist in order to get my application for the fall 2011 semester at NVCC a week ago, and the deadline for the application is this coming Monday May 23rd. I'm starting to freak out! I can't turn it in on time if I don't receive it on time! Anyone else in this boat?

I am FREAKING out too. I had to retake my math TEAS, which I got a 91 on :yeah:. I had to wait until the 16th to take that test. I ran downstairs and handed in my check list. I have until Friday the 27th to submit my application, so we must be applying for different tracks. I called the MEC this morning and they said it's too late to mail out applications, so I should be getting an email/phone call to come to the MEC and pick up the application. If you have VCCS email, they said it would be sent there, if not they will call you. The VCCS email is up and down, so that makes me nervous. They said you cannot hand deliver your application; it must be mailed. If I get an application in time, I plan to take it to the post office and watch them stamp it. I might even send it certified or something.

What I really want to know, in the event I actually get an application (you never know with student services), is what exactly is the application like. I am wondering if there is an essay I could start writing now, or something. Is there anyone out there that has NVCC application experience they could share? How long does it take to fill it out and what's on it?

I just sent my application in today after getting it in the mail!!! I got my checklist approved and I'm so nervous but so excited!!!! I will keep you guys updated. I hope we do all get in. BTW I'm applying for traditional and if you have any questions I will try to answer what I do know. GOOD LUCK

I hope we all get in too! I called them yesterday around 5 pm and they said they are still going through checklists, so I've got my fingers crossed. Thank you for your reply to my other post. I was so afraid I would need letters of recommendation, or to write an essay! I guess I will just sit tight. I'll keep you posted too. I'm applying to traditional as well. Good luck!!!

Yes on Saturday I received my acceptance letter into the traditional program.

Thank you, the secretary stated in an email that the rest of the people will receive their acceptance letters today and tomorrow. If and when you do receive yours I will email you the facebook link I made for class of 2013 if you have facebook
