Unless things have changed between when I took the class and now, you only need to get temperature in one way, so pick your preferred method (oral, etc.) and go for it. Though I'd try to avoid having to take a rectal temp if I could help it
Thanks Meriwhen!! No rectal for me!

Definitely annoying the quiz is due Friday instead of Sunday.. and assignments are due Thursday after this week! Ugh.

Thank you so much ! Man that was unnecessarily painful to complete !!! I submitted mine prior to seeing your post so I just put client refused to have temperature taken rectally haha. The directions are so vague I honestly have no idea what my grade will be like for these first assignments. I noticed book and lab manual have different things. The lab manual only had few questions but book had more. I combined both . Goodness gracious . What a nightmare

Also in 3425. Ridiculous amount of "make-work" with little guidance. The due dates do not work well with working full time. Due date of Thur @0800 means need to complete by Tues evening (work Wednesday). I'll understand more about the expectations when I get my first week assignments graded. Until then, I plod along. Guidance is ambiguous.

Just finished the first cut of the subjective and objective assignments this week. I find it extremely frustrating that they "hold" feedback on tests and assignments for 48 hours. I would like to review (at least the first week) my assignments to see if I am on track or completely off, lol. With only 5 weeks in this class, I can't afford to screw up the assignments 2 weeks in a row!! I did "okay" on the quiz, but would like to see the questions I missed...I guess I am just too impatient.
As for the assignments, they are a lot of typing, but they don't seem too bad. I'm just trying to follow the book and lab manual and try not to miss anything. Don't forget all your COLDSPAs!!
I agree, krazylady. I asked to review the quiz, was told that everyone had to take it first, but it is Monday. Who's left to take it? Also, no feedback on last week's assignments. I need to complete by tomorrow due to my work schedule. I'm almost done. I just got bored with the typing and stopped yesterday.

The quiz is open for review.
What if the patient has no complaints or issues? Do we still do a COLDSPA?
Yes, we still must have a COLDSPA. Health seeking behaviors perhaps?
Thanks, laskydncr! Better put my mind to work to come up with one!
Is everyone completing the eye exam?..... Doesn't seem like something we would actually do .
How on earth are we expected to really inspect optic discs. Faux real ? Pff .
I finished the quiz with 10 minutes to spare and I thought it was fairly easy and that I had gotten a pretty good grade but ended up with a 75 ! Darn it !!! I guess take your time ....
