i managed to get a job in hawaii for 9 months on my own,,( ok not that big a deal with an RN I admit)...but I want to go everywhere...question is do agencies allow this?

Your so helpful. I dont know where I would have gotten all these questions answered if my friend didn't tell me about this website. What I want to end up (currently) in is traveling, pediatric or adult, home health care. I know I would need two years experience for traveling. I was reading posts about home health care. Would that two years cover the prereq for home health? And, since I was going into home health (I wouldnt start there, right) what floor should i work in the hospital? Med surg, i have no idea. Youre awesome

You are not going to be able to find travel assignments in home health care.

The closest that you will find to that would be med-surg, which will also give you the background for home health to do later on. Most home health agencies want you to have tow years of experience before starting with them so that you are adept at feeding tube replacements, dressing changes, etc.
