I'm looking for a travelers buddy system dependent upon destination. Is there such a forum for single travelers. Travelers looking to buddy up with other travelers in the destination area?

10 years ago, I remember a forum for single travelers (with dating in mind), but don't know of one currently. There are a number of "need travel buddy" posts on this forum but the moderators discourage them. Your best bet may be a Facebook hosted travel nurse site such as Gypsy Nurse.
