Any particular unit?
I've lived here for 10 years, transplanted from home in Chicago and a number of years on the East Coast.
Omaha is a great place to live 9 months of the year. Winters vary, but for the most part are cold and snowy.
For a relatively small city, we enjoy excellent healthcare from 3 systems: Nebraska Medicine, Alegent-Creighton, and Methodist.
Our insurance favors Nebraska Medicine, and so most of our services come from there. We've been well cared for and very satisfied.
I'm not working in healthcare at this time, but have a good friend in trauma services at the Med. Ctr. If she is representative of the staff there, you would have top-notch co-workers. Also, the Med. Ctr. is the site of the bio-containment unit that cared for Ebola patients during the recent crisis. You might want to look up some of those articles for a feel on the facility.
Welcome, in advance :)
