Hi,
I am thinking about starting travel nursing and was wondering from the travelers out there right now do you think its a good time to do it or has the economy killed it for now.

I haven't done traveling *yet* (hope to take my first assignment in May) but everything I've read indicates that the economy has really slowed things down for the past year or two, but that things are starting to pick up a bit.

To answer you question yes. This is actually when of the best times of the year to look for work. Hospitals are in a new fiscal year, so have more of a budget to hire travelers. I have been a traveler since 2005, and even with the economy issues, I was still able to find consistent work. AS long as you are flexible, have a good solid foundation of nursing knowledge,...you will find work.
