Awaiting next assignment

Hello to Fellow Travelers,

I was curious to know, how much time do you have between assignments. My current assignment is almost up and I haven't received may calls for my next one, does this happen often?

Thanks

How soon is your assignment up? I'm currently have about 3 weeks left on my assignment but don't have a new one yet. I am calling my company again tomorrow to see they have. Have you called your company yet to see what they have for jobs? I don't know if it happens often but there are times there are more needs than others or that the company you are with has more assignment than others. Do you work with more than one company?

That's one of the worst parts about traveling I think. I have about 3 weeks left on my assignment too waiting for what's next. I call my recruiter about 4-5 weeks before the end (so I've been working on this for two weeks already) and I'm no closer to knowing where I'll be. A lot of people don't post until like 2 weeks before they need someone. Also, I know with the company I work for, if you take more than 4 weeks off between assignments you lose your insurance and have to reapply for everything which is a pain. But I like to take a few weeks off between.
