    1) No, you should be able to retake the test whenever. Just be aware that you can only retake the HESI once.
    2) The SON considers an 84% competitive, so if you score a 90% then you would certainly be considered. Whether or not certain sections or the test are weighted higher than others is the mystery... none of us knows exactly what the school is looking for. Just do your best and then try not to worry. Good luck.

Ok awesome! Thank you for your reply! Yeah I took the HESI A2 and scored a 84% but I want to score higher so I can compensate for my somewhat low GPA :/

Do you know anyone by chance that was accepted with gpas similar to mine?

No problem. You're interested in the accelerated program? You have plenty of time to prepare for the HESI before the deadline, so I'm sure you'll do great. Was there any particular section(s) that you're hoping to score higher on?

On posts for previous rounds, many of the applicants posted their scores. Maybe those could give you an idea.

Oh wow thank you! To be honest I have never been great at memorizing things. So a&p was my lowest score. Did great on the other sections (80-96 range) but I want to dominate this test.

For A&P, I'd recommend getting a copy of "Barron's E-Z Anatomy & Physiology" and study it chapter by chapter over a few weeks. It's a great review, and if there's anything you don't understand well, this book will clarify it for you. The practice tests at the end of every chapter are also helpful.

Ok so now I have a green circle! But weirdly enough I still have the "waiting on proof of TSI satisfaction" on my to do list lol I just don't get it but oh well

And to the previous poster (sorry on my phone so I can't go back and look at the name) I used a paramedic a&p book I got from a friend because it was smaller than my original textbook. It went over everything but it was more condensed and brief so what I still needed help with I went back to my textbook and notes for my class. I had taken a&p a couple semesters ago so the refresher was a must for me. Good luck!!

I just took my HESI Exam on Friday. I'm currently taking A&P II, so of course I didn't have all the material under my belt that I should have before taking the Exam. I used the HESI A2 Secrets book and the Evolve HESI Study guide. I thought they were both really good study guides. The A&P Section on my test had a majority of A&P II questions. I managed to get through it pretty well. I was worried more about the Critical Thinking but I did fine on that.

Good luck rayray, you can do it!

I found that the vocabulary from the evolve HESI study guide (got mine on amazon for a reasonable price) was a great study guide. It has a whole section dedicated to the terms you will find on the test. And I mean really, the study guide and the HESI Vocab section are very similar. I got a 100% on the Vocab section from using that study guide - hope it helps if you need to take it again!

Try reading a book with good vocabulary. Like A Dan Brown or John Grisham book.
