Tarrant County College Fall 2012

U.S.A. Texas

So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!

Well at least we are all being told the same thing now... so hopefully that means it's actually true!

I just keep thinking what if they lost my application? What if I am not ever going to find out? I just wish they would send out an email to all the applicants letting us know what is going on. It seems like that would be easier than constantly answering the phones and making up answers.

I keep thinking what if it is coming down to other things, not just gpa & hesi. Like what if they don't like some random thing that I may have mentioned in my application, or a class that most of the others took that I haven't taken yet..... I know what they said, I'm just worried they are suddenly changing their minds!!

The way I see it is you shouldn't worry about that stuff bc you can't do anything to change it! It's gonna be alright

I know it's highly unlikely, because that would open up a world of issues to have people pay for the test, apply, and for some take the semester off with the understanding they have met the stated requirements. Just too much time to spend "thinking" about things. Tomorrow, I'm sure will bring a new variety of worries

Well that is good news I suppose. I am concerned as well with all the changes happening and how that will affect the number of us being accepted etc. I am trying not to worry but it is hard.

The clinical shoes I ordered arrived today, I love them! They are super comfy too.

Sorry, double post

Hey Hope. I called again just for you. I accept the fact that I have to wait but, I also want my questions answered so, I'm calling when I have questions.

This time I was given a direct email address as well so, if anyone else has questions, let's coordinate them and try to get them answered.

I was told that the letters were supposed to go out last week but, due to unforeseen circumstances they were not sent out. I was then told to call if we do not receive an email by Thursday or Friday. Once again I don't want too much excitement over this because "unforseen" can always happen.

I asked if there was any foreseeable reason that the letters would not come out this week. She said no, they should go out.

I asked about the BSN program and was told that it would in NO way affect the amount of students admitted to the ADN program and that the BSN would be offered to TCC ADN students. I was told 127-130 students were to be admitted this semester. I forgot to ask how big the applicant pool was.

Here's hoping the information is good.

OMG Caitlyn! You are amazing. Wish I was as brave as you are.

That's good news 127-130 students. I am going to believe it is really going to be this week.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm checkin out for the day, been on here way too much!!!

Thanks again Caitlyn

Thank you!! You are awesome! I still hope it's sooner scince they planned on last week anyways

Caitlyn thanks for all this information. You are brave, I wish I had your assertiveness! My money is on Thursday but hoping for earlier. 130 is a lot. I believe I read that 120 were admitted this past spring?

I just hope it's good information. I guess though when things are unkown it can't hurt to have a little hope. I'm still trying to keep it in perspective. They could just be telling me something because I'm calling. It can't hurt though because we're all waiting either way. Cautiously optimistic ;0)!!
