I am curious about bridge programs in San Antonio. I know there is SAC, Hallmark, Galen & Baptist. I was wondering from people who attended which school you went to & what it was like.

Specializes in NICU( RN), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

I am attending Galen's LVN-RN bridge right now. Do far I have enjoyed my classes. I thought that since I am already an LVN the program would be a piece of cake... Boy was I wrong!! A lot of our clinical instructors are CNS, so they expect ALOT out of you, they want you to be on your A game at all times. The sim lab is state of the art and I have enjoyed my lab instructors as well. We have to take a HESI for each subject at the end of every quarter, you have to have a 900 to pass the Hesi too. I have heard that a lot of schools out here only require 800.... We have pretty good rotation sites as well. Let me know if you have any specific questions about Galen. Oh... It is SACS accredited, which is the same accrediting body that the 4yr colleges out here (and pretty much all over America) uses. So you do not have to worry about your classes transferring for your BSN. They are in the process of getting NLN accredited too.

Specializes in ICU.
