RN Programs in San Antonio

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm wanting advice/input on RN programs in San Antonio! The two schools I'm currently looking at are Galen and Baptist. Galen is expensive and I'm not sure my credits will be transferred if I further my education and Baptist I'll need to do pre reqs before accepted. I currently have an associates in psychology from the university of phoenix and I'm hoping some of my credits will transfer over. My goal in the long run is to get a BSN (I want to do that online) and then hopefully become a nurse practitioner. But the first step is to become an RN and I don't know where to go school wise! Any input on these two school would be greatly appreciated and if you know of any other schools please let me know! It is really important that the school is accredited.

Is there a compelling reason you are only looking at ADN programs? Your job options will definitely be limited if you do not have a BSN. Here is a complete listing of Tx nursing schools that includes programs offered and type of accreditation. http://www.bon.texas.gov/nursingeducation/edudocs/rnschools.pdf
