Hey all,

My dh and I are living in las vegas right now and I'm in the last couple of semesters of nursing school. I'll have my RN by the end of this summer. We've been here for about 5 years now and want to make a change. We are considering the houston or galveston area. We'll be visiting there during my spring break. How hard is it for an out of state new grad to get an internship? I've read the pay rates are 21-27 for new grad which is very similar to nevada. How about ratios? Thanks.

Hey gang,

Any information would be helpful, really. I am now widening my areas:

san antionio, corpus christi, galveston, and houston. We are visiting them all during my spring break. Can anyone give me information such as:

new grad programs - icu, ccu, er

sign on/relocation bonuses

salary

overtime

which hospitals to avoid, which are great

any constructive input would be great.
