Nursing school vaccinations

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi!

I am going to apply to WC nursing program in June for spring 2011. I wanted to work on getting my vaccinations next month. This is probably a silly question, but do you just go to your family physician to do that? And do I need to ask for something showing that I had them done?

Thanks!

I understand some don't have insurance and sometimes the health clinics are extremely busy or out of what you need. I wet to The Immunization Clinic Southwest in Stafford and they take Blue Cross PPO for vaccines and they do titers for all insurances with just a co-pay even the school type student insurance like we have United Student Insurance at our school and this has been hard to find someone for the new requirements for titers on top of the vaccine shots. they also participate in several patient assistance programs for those with no or lower income. the staff was nice and they are open Saturdays too.
