Need Advice!- University Of Houston (Victoria) Second Degree BSN Spring 2016

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I was accepted into UH second degree BSN program, formerly the University of Houston Victoria program. This semester, it merged with U of H and dropped the "Victoria" designation.

I'm worried about this program, I've heard a few terrible reviews concerning kicking out students.

I need advice from former students.

Please advise.

I've worked so hard and fought through so many setbacks to get to nursing school, I don't want to be kicked out for something small.

Do you mind sharing what your stats for acceptance were? I plan on applying for next semester.

Their NCLEX results have been stellar. Whatever they're doing, it seems to be working. It's actually refreshing to see that a program is holding the line rather than falling into the overall grade inflation phenomenon that has become commonplace throughout the US. There is nothing sadder than a new grad who is unable to pass NCLEX.
