Need Advice from neuro or surgery nurses in Texas.

Hi there, my name is Cheryl and I was once active on this board - years ago. I was attempting nursing, but instead chose the health eduction route (public health) which I am happy with, but still sometimes feel the missing link is clinical care. I may still choose this route someday. My education and background consisted of all of the same prerequisites (sciences, stats) that ya'll had to take as well. So it would just be a matter of me going.

I'm back here for a different issue. Over the past year I have been diagnosed with multi level herniations, C3,4,5,6,7 in my neck with stenosis, bone spurs and cord compression. I am seeing neurologists and neurosurgeons, as well as an orthopedic surgeon, but I was hoping for some recommendations from the nurses who may work with or for neurosurgeons in the Dallas or Ft. Worth area (heck, I'd travel to Houston as well). I am only 30, so I would like several opinions for my potential surgery, which would likely be a laminectomy and fusion. I'm looking for a surgeon, you yourself, with trust your so important neck with. Please let me know if you have any recommendations for me. I am going to also try to post this in the surgery and neuro forums as well. I appreciate your help and expertise.

Cheryl
