U.S.A. Texas

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has else has been excepted to the LVN Fall program at NCTC in Gainseville? :o

Hi ladies! I also got accepted to the Gainesville class for the Fall! I'm so excited & it seems as though orientation in July is a lifetime away! lol I have 2 questions: 1. where have ya'll found the cpr class for the health care provider? i have called the red cross & get the run around they only do the basic. 2. I live in little elm but looking to move closer (like denton, gainesville, or sanger), any suggestions?

Thanks!

Can't wait to meet you all!

Awesome! I went thru the fire department in Argyle it was super easy and fun! First time I could say that about a cpr class lol :) Hope you can find a class soon! Can't wait to meet everyone super excited and nervous. Myself and two other girls are from Sanger, it will be about a 25 minute commute for us :)

Turned my packet in today....:heartbeatwas very nerve racking! A&P is going great! So far I am making all A's which is Awesome!!!:nmbrn: Only 23 more days 'till Orientation!!! Hope you are all having a great summer :w00t:

Bahahaha Im sorry I just had to laugh!! You all have NO IDEA what you are in for!!! Get ready!!! And plan on missing NO days!!! If you miss any days in clinicals they knock off 5 points from your final grade. If you think orientation was bad you are in for it!! I hate to laugh but seeing as how I was sitting where you were a year ago I can now!! lol The class that started after in the spring started with 41 students and are now down to 24. Fall 2010 has been the biggest class to pin in awhile and about half of the students in there barely got by. First semester get ready to be there every day monday-thur from 8-4 You do not get to leave early AT ALL. And the first 2 weeks are the easy weeks. Check offs are horrible and I promise at least half of you will walk out crying. You are gonna have the worst year of your entire life but somehow it ends up being your best year too. Just dig your heels in, study constantly and LISTEN.

1 more week ladies :)

I just finished, and if you don't mind, i have some advice! First, don't miss unless you absolutely have to. You will end up missing valuable information because they put so much into one year. Second, find a study partner! Study with someone or a group of someones, not alone! Third, buy some extra books! You are going to want the Nursing Diagnosis Handbook. Along with the drug book you're going to get it will be your BIBLE. Finally, make sure you read a little every night. You are going to get stressed. You are going to cry. You are going to want to pull your hair out at times. And most of all, you are going to want to give up and quit. Don't. I promise, its worth it. :lol2:

Good luck! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

just wondering how did you guys do?
