I wonder why would it make a differences if the socks stop at the calf or the ankle :confused:...I wonder what else goes along with this....when they say all white...I guess the really mean it..... panties, bra the works..huh :uhoh3:

rachsmc29 were you excited when you where there getting you things....how did it feel to be taking another step towards becoming a nurse....I'm excited and haven't been yet....:yeah::nurse::yeah:

:tinkbll::yawn: Good Morning,

I was just wondering did anybody sign up for the study class..... I did :D and was just wondering if anyone else did....I was told that it's a really good class that helps a lot....but was also told based on my HESI scores that she didn't recommend it for me but it's really good to take ....Ms. Bea said although it's not mandatory...she recommend it to those who score low on the HESI....I didn't know that cuz my schedule was turned in before I took my HESI :uhoh3:...any who....nursing is new to me so any help will greatly appreciated cuz....I heard that it's a lil different from the classes we've taken to get this far. Pharm was a lil complex...just a touch....:eek: so I just want to make sure I pass all my classes.....Don't want to end up doing this :banghead: saying I should've took the study class!

I paid 65 dollars for 4 patches, a name tag and a badge ooo and an organizer. I was very excited and a lil frustrated too because all white scrubs are hard to come by for less than 54 dollars a pair and so are all white shoes that don't look ridiculous.

I wasn't aware of a study class but I scored a 95 on my Hesi so maybe that's why they didn't say anything. plus I am taking medical math and med term this summer as a refresher so that should be enough--i hope. Every little bit helps!!

:tinkbll:i'm sure those classes will help out a great deal. i should've probably took the medical math class...but i guess i just have to wing it thru the semester.... unless you want to share what you learn this summer.. lol :lol2: ms. bea said this study class is something good for anyone ...so i'm taking her word on it...cuz my first reaction was to drop it being that she said she strongly recommend it for those who don't do so well on the hesi...any who i'll just see what it do...i believe it's only 1 day a week anyway...i believe i picked the monday class...can't remeber off hand i need to check my schedule. i hope it's not boring :zzzzz can't stand lectures that don't keep you alert. i guess i'll go next week and give up my $65..... i'll let you know if i find some white scrubs that's reasonable priced..... not sure which way to go on the shoes....let me know if you find or hear about some that's comfortable and supportive.

lol the math is super easy and I could teach you the formula real quick. I found some all white nike shox for 114 dollars that I will get! I have a pair of pink and blk ones that I use to work out in and I love them plus I have heard that a lot of nurses wear them. The scrubs I will just have to bite the bullet and pay 54 dollars a pair for them. :uhoh3:

:tinkbll:Shocks sound real good...I have a pair that has done my feet some good...as for the scrubs...I will look around on those...becuz I want to start with about 3-4 pairs and at $54 a pair :eek: I don't think I will be able to. I'm going to take you up on the math formula..I'm always willing to learn a new formula that's effective..Thanks!:D

When I purchased my nursing items I was super excited. The uniforms are pretty pricey at the school and I’m still looking for an inexpensive pair. I think I’m going to buy a pair of white Nike Shox also. Oh, and about the study class, I didn't sign up for it.

the only place I have found them for less than 54 a set is at WalMart and they were 30 a set, but I am only 5'4 so the bottoms were way too long! --they had 1 xlarge, 2 med, and 12 xsmall... I want to get 3 pair as well, so I figure I will get a pair every couple weeks from online. because I shopped around here in Baytown--at the medical supply by the college, at Wal-Mart, at Target, and had a friend go to the medical supply in Northshore and they were all the same price. One of my friends did tell me to go to the medical supply in Pasadena across from Bayshore hospital, but I'm guessing it will be the same or crappy quality. The thing with white you wanna get high quality otherwise you see threw it...lol :D

As for as the Math formula, I am at the college everyday studying until July 7th--my 5 week math class ends. So you could text me whenever you wanna learn dimensional analyzes. :nurse:

:tinkbll:ok.....i think i have picked thursday for my day of arrival to lee's bookstore....i need to some how be able to find you rachsmc29..... i'll be the one in the bookstore doing this:dncgbby:cuz i'm so darn happy to be getting ready to start nursing school. :hpygrp: while out that day i'll be going to this uniform store in the old sharpstown mall ....they have pretty reasonable uniforms there...i know they have cherokee...the quality of those are pretty good...i'll let everyone know the price.

just find me on facebook rachsmc at Yah oo

does anybody have any information on the books that will be needed for the 1st semester....i would like to buy mine somewhere else the book store is way to high for me....if someone have any info please let me know.

When I went to the book store to ask about the book list they told me they don't have the list yet. I would also like the book list to buy my new/used books online because they are a lot cheaper than the college book store.
