How Competitive is UT Houston?

Hello All,

I am applying to Nursing School at the end of the summer and I know for sure I will be applying to TWU but I wanted to know if anyone could tell me how competitive is UT Houston? For instance what has been the cut off GPA in the past? Thanks for any info you can provide!

I've heard rumors that you had to have a 3.6 gpa to get in but then again they are rumors. I feel that you should just apply because you just never know.

Actually that isn't true. I have just been admitted for the Fall 2010 semester and our class varies from a 3.3 and up. Take into consideration that UT is 33% GPA, 33% HESI(our class took the NET), and 33% interview. If you meet the cutoff for the HESI and have at least the minimum GPA, you will get an interview. During the interview process they evaluate your writing sample as well as your medical experience. Good luck!!!
