Has anyone taken A&P Online?

Have any of you taken either SCIT or BIOL (I'm taking my Pre-recs for El Centro nursing through DCCCD) all online?

I'm at home with a new baby and to keep this nursing school ball rolling its the only way I'll be able to complete A&P right now.

Side question- when I was a Freshman at LSU in 1998 (yeah a loooong time ago!) I took BIO 1&2 with A's but it was biology for non-science majors which means that I do not have the prerequisite for A&P and must take SCIT. I'm also then able to take micro by having SCIT 1407 complete. I'm hoping someone will reply who has taken SCIT thru dcccd and has input!!

Yep, I took A&P SCIT online. Very good class, imo. So amazingly easy, to me anyway. It was one of the few classes I have enjoyed taking. Learned a lot. Wished most classes were like this one. I dedicated a good amount of time to reading/studying the material and the labs are online as well. I thought it was really cool. Only time u had to go to campus was to take the exams. I believe it was 3 exams for that class.

I'm actually taking scit 1407 online right now as i wait for approval of my 5 year science waiver......so far it seems okay. I have a one year old and a four year old so I felt like this was pretty much my only option. I need to get my books and the lab manual asap. There are 4 tests and I will attempt the first one on monday. My class is through cvc. When do you plan to apply. I'm shooting for Spring 2013 (january).

Awesome, ladies!

That's great news- I think I'll try and take it in the second summer session so I can take SCIT 1408 in the fall (also online) and be better prepared for the HESI.

The earliest I'll be able to apply would be for Fall 2013. But my youngest will only be one year old and I'm not married so I'm still trying to figure out my approach to nursing school and a small child (my other son would be 9 in Fall 2013) Being 32 right now, I don't want to wait but I don't know logistically how I can do it all!
