El Paso/Las Cruces?

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi there,

I'm considering relocating to TX, the El Paso/Las Cruces, NM area. Anyone out there working in those areas? If so, can you give me an idea of what hospitals are better to work at than others, salary range, etc? Any info would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,

I was stationed in EL Paso for 10 years. I hated it at first moved to Austin and we arenow moving back for many good reasons.

I am a UT El Paso Grad & Former Army Officer (now CNA) while I go through UTEP's NUrsing Program in January 2008.

Do ya'll have any advice on a good hospital to work at to get good experience - (not LTC though), pay and trainging while going through school?

I was planning to relocate to El Paso last year. Unfortunately, there were very few nurses who live in El Paso and post here regularly. Therefore, I obtained minimal and very limited information regarding the city and its healthcare facilities.

Most of the people on this forum live in Dallas-Fort Worth, the Houston metro area, San Antonio, or central Texas (Austin, Bryan, College Station).

Hi commuter

I finally made it to DFW,it's ok a far cry from the virgin Islands, and a lot warmer than wisconsin.got a job in a week,it pays well, but not what I wanted, but will do for now.I will be traveling again after RN school, and buying a home here to have a state side home. That will be my state side base.plan to rent my house out in the virgin Islands, and move to domonica, but will come here in the summers to work.I want to take time out to thank you for all your post. They were very helpful, and I feel you are a very fair and honest person. There are not many people left like that.So you take care, and I pray that GOD Blesses you always, and thanks again for all your help.

GOOD LUCK
