I'm in Houston in the med center and I've been in a few hospitals around here. It seems like most of them don't actually use CNAs but their own trained techs...whatever term they use for them. There is no certification involved and you go through whatever program they use. It's a great way to get experience on a floor whether you're called a tech, a patient care assistant, or a CNA!
