Brookhaven nursing applicants for Spring 2014

I am applying to Brookhaven's nursing program to start in Spring 2014. Anyone else applying and if so, how far along are you in the process? I have all my prereq's done plus Micro, A&P II, Lifespan, Nursing Patho,and Pharmacology.

The lady in the office was kind enough to check my packet before I left to make sure I had everything. I'm so glad she did because I left out my critical thinking score from my HESI. I was able to make the 7 minute trip home to get it and turn it in! I hope there's nothing else.

Does anyone know if they send out the emails on the same day? The office told me October 18th is when we will find out if we got an interview. I do not think I will get one...although I am SOOOOO hoping I do. I applied with 27.8 points. I just can't stand the waiting!! Let's hear how many points everyone has, so we can see where we stand :)

I am also preparing for the interview and writing sample. I applied with 28.7 points. They send the points email on the 11th.

How are you guys preparing for interview and writing sample? Think I should start with only 27.8?

Points email? Just confirming the points we have? When do they send the email letting us know if we got an interview or not?

I am preparing for the interview by looking at different nursing school interview questions and answers. I googled it and quite a bit of information came up. I also am going to make it to a mock interview at Brookhaven to get a feel about how everything goes. The writing sample, i am doing a couple of rough drafts to get all my thoughts sorted.

I dont know when they send the email for the interview...it doesn't specify on the website. It has to be early November because they announce if we got accepted on November 18th.

November 18 seems like such a long time from now!!! I only applied with 28.7 points nati, but ya never know what might happen!! I feel very confident in my writing and I think I can speak and express my thoughts and opinions pretty clearly vocally. Sit down with a friend or family member and explain to them the reasons you want to be a nurse, what led you to chose nursing school etc.

Are you going to do a pinning ceremony or participate in graduation? Does Brookhaven offer a graduation just for the Nursing school? I know I have a long way to go but I am looking forward to some type of celebration event.
