Best hospitals to work at in Dallas, Texas?

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everyone,

I understand that there are many hospitals in Dallas and I am looking for opinions on which ones are the best. I am wanting to relocate to Dallas when I graduate in May. I have ICU experience and would prefer to be in an ICU setting. I have looked into Baylor Medical Center and the Dallas VA Hospital so far.

Which ones are the best as far as benefits, health insurance, vacation, etc?

What about nurse/patient ratio and sent home due to low census?

What about top pay hospitals in the area?

Updated buildings, equipment, rooms, good cafeteria?

How about typical patients seen at the various hospitals?

Any input from you will be greatly appreciated! :)

I cannot offer an opinion as to which hospitals are the best since I have no firsthand experience working at any of them. However, I can formulate a list of all hospital that come to mind in Dallas.

1. Methodist Dallas Medical Center

2. Methodist Charlton Medical Center

3. Texas Health Dallas Presbyterian

4. Baylor University Medical Center

5. Parkland (a Dallas County hospital, level I trauma)

6. Medical City Hospital (HCA-owned facility)

7. UT Southwestern Medical Center

8. Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake

9. Dallas Medical Center

There are quite a few! Thank you for your response. I need to look more into these different ones
