I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is from the Lufkin, woodville, jasper area? Or just anyone going to the woodville lvn program. (tyler county hospital) if you have any info let me know. I was recently accepted to the program for 2008.

I just got accepted into the Tyler county lvn program 2011 class...Is there anything I can start doing to prepare myself? Something to start studying? Thanks!

Hi.. I made it into the Tyler County 2011 program.

Nothing i can think of really. and congrats on getting in. its an awesome program. ull grip through out the whole thing, but once its over, ull be proud of graduating from the school. i can gives some hints lol. what i did was, during lecture they gave us power points. if they repeated anything i would highlight it and most likly it would be on the tests. just keep up with everything, as long as u try and study ull do great. wish you both luck. if you have any more questions ask away. lol it took so long bc for some reason it sent my notification to my junk mail? so idk lol. again congrats :yeah:

I'm also testing for Angelina College.. its way more affordable because I doubt I can get financial aid through the workforce.. anybody know anything about the workforce grants?

im testing for angelina also ..for the same reasons. Dont know anything about the workforce grants..but i think they go by your last income tax statement. Good Luck on the Hesi..i have a week b/f i test.ive gotta start studying!!

I'm testing tommorow! I was one of the first to turn my packet in so I got the first test date.. I wish I hadn't! Im studying right now. I bought the review book. I talked to one of the teachers and she said that the lowest grade they accepted last year was a 79. However, they took more people last year than they will be taking this year. Im trying to get atleast an 85. Goodluck! I hope I do good, I am so nervous.

oh wow!I applied for Jasper only. How about you? I got a 75 on my teas-hope hesi is easier:confused:!Will you let me know how it goes?Thanks- going to pray for you!! Goodluck!

I would be willing to go to Jasper, but I was afraid if I put it on my application they'd send me to Jasper before they gave me lufkin. I got a 79 on my Teas... almost the same! I've been told to study fractions and conversions for the HESI, Ive heard its easier than the TEAS. I really hope thats right. I'll let you know tommorow how it goes. We get our scores as soon as we finish the test. Im still going to do the background check and all that stuff in woodville later this week no matter what though..

So I aced the HESI.. made a 94 on math and a 93 on reading! The math part was WAY easier than the TEAS.. and I guess the reading was about the same maybe a little easier. For math mainly know the how to do proportions and how to convert grams to pounds and how many milliliters are in a liter and know all about your gallon quarts pints cups and ounces. I would say that there are more proportion problems and multiplying fractions than anything else. You get to use the computer calculator so its easy. The only ones I missed were the grams to pounds questions. I hope I get in!! We will know in late October I think. Oh yeah I cant send PMs yet :)
