McGraw Hill Book ??

Hi Everyone,

I'm taking the TEAS in about a month so I've been studying quite a bit. I have been using the ATI study book and last evening I took a practice test from the McGraw Hill 5 TEAS Practice Tests Book.

It seems like a lot of the questions in the science section were different than what I have been studying out of the ATI book. For example, there was a question on levels of the atmosphere which was not covered in the ATI book at all.

My question is, have those who have taken the TEAS test felt like the ATI book didn't prepare them? Or is the McGraw Hill too in-depth and not an accurate representation of the actual exam?

I exclusively used the mcgraw book that you're talking about to study. It was great prep for the math and language portions, but I honestly don't think you can really know what will pop up on that science section. I had physics, earth science, anatomy, and just about everything else. It's all at a low level - you could have learned it in high school - but it's very broad. My strategy recommendation would be to make sure that you will ace the math and language sections - they are a cakewalk if you study. No surprises. For the science, you might try being familiar with the concepts in the ATI book as well as the concepts in the mcgraw hill. Studying the exact questions probably won't help. An overview of the sciences (think cliff notes) might help. The science questions really will be all over the place though.
