How to go from an 80 to a 90?

Nursing Students TEAS

Any study tips to raise my TEAS score? I took it a couple weeks ago and received the following:

Over All Individual Adjusted Score: 81.30

TEAS reading: 85.71

TEAS Mathematics: 90.00

TEAS Science: 70.83

TEAS English and Language Usage: 83.33

I NEED to raise my overall score at least an 83.00, which is frustrating because I am so very close! But a 90 is of course my goal!

So if anyone has any tips or advice, or specific study methods or websites that helped you out, I would greatly appreciate it! I have already purchased the ATI Manuel and at this point I am trying to avoid spending any more money on books as it is beginning to add up...

Thank you ahead of time for anyone who takes the time to reply!

I wish I had answers. My over all was an 80 and I am retaking the exam next Thursday to try and get a 90. I know my weaknesses though, hadn't had anatomy since high school (that class was in 2006) and now I've taken A&P 1 and 2 so I should be good, and my grammar is awful.

Good luck! I'm just doing a focused review myself.

Our scores were really similar!

My Science was a bit lower than yours though.

There's an article on here https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html

It goes down a list of everything you need to know, and all of them are in the TEAS book.

Good luck! When do you take it again?

Ive seen and gone over that article already. I feel like I've looked at everything there is to look at, and read the ATI manual so many times that I just don't know what else to do. I feel comfortable with reading and math, but grammar and science are the two that I have the most issues with.

And I'm taking it either Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday is the deadline for the RN program that I'm applying for so I don't have too much time left.

My grammar is awful too. I know I got an 83% on it but its is probably the subject that I am the most uncomfortable with. Ive gone over the book and different online lessons many times but when I took my TEAS a couple weeks ago, it felt like I had to guess on a lot of the grammar questions.

For the science, I suggest going to Khan Academy. They go more in-depth about a lot of things than the ATI manual does.

My adjusted score was a 88.0%. Reading: 83.3%, Math: 96.7%, Science: 89.6%, and English/Language 86.7%. What I discovered that helped me was to take the practice test in the back of the practice manual. Then go over your practice test and see what area of that subject that you missed. It helps you know what you need to improve on which should help improve your overall score.
