If I don't get into my program this Fall I will most likely take this again. I only studied the day before, and I didn't even bother with the English/Language Usage part. Got to the test and realized that I do not know how to properly use a semicolon LOL - Jun 8, '12 by LittleTexasI received the results from my second attempt yesterday.

Sad to be thought of as less than exemplary, but they just haven't gotten to know me ;-)mostdesired3 and CallieNM like this. -
- Jun 14, '12 by mjs488There are a couple of things you can do to increase your chances of success. One is to absolutely get the TEAS V manual and do at least two online practice exams to get used to the format. If the time factor freaks you out do NOT compulsively watch the clock; the test is more important than the clock. Also, there are usually two answer choices that are easily eliminated; if you're stuck, dispense with those to give energy to one of the more logical choices. Just my $.02 worth ;-)friendlyjane likes this.

Percentile Rank - Program: 88 - Jun 15, '12 by Epiphany2000I second the suggestion of buying the study guide and taking the 2 online practice exams. The study guide also contains an addition 2 (paper) practice exams. If you do well on the practice tests, you should do well on the exam. Others have stated that the practice tests actually over-prepare you, and I agree.
I took my first practice exam with no studying or preparation of any kind. With minimal review, I boosted my initial practice score by 10 percentage points, then scored another 5 percentage points higher on the actual exam.
The exam is really not that difficult, and a little preparation goes a long way.
Good luck!
