Additional help to pass the TEAS V exam

Nursing Students TEAS

Published

Hi guys! I retook this test because my first score was not sufficient enough to help me enter into my school's nursing program. The exam has questions that are not listed in the book, so each with each topic, be sure to Google as much information as possible. Questions regarding the nerves and what controls what, functions of the organs, etc.

What honestly helped me as well which I would have never guessed was the ATI study manual VERSION 3. There are a lot more technical science material this version covers that contain questions the exam will cover.

For those of you who are terrible in math like I am, I watched hours of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk2kmNeGtwc. He helps so much and teaches you how to solve problems with shortcuts that help you every time!

Patience and a positive attitude is the key. Good luck to everyone. The TEAS exam is as difficult as others say it is. But with sufficient studying, I know you guys can do it!

How much better did you do on the second attempt? I am in the same boat, I need to retake it because my score wasn't high enough for the programs I wanted to apply for.

With me studying the TEAS V3 handbook, I scored 10% higher than my original. My first score was 61% and I ended up passing with a 71%. It isn't that great of a score but at this second attempt, I was even happy to pass. My school requires a 62% to enter the nursing program.

Was the retake similar to the first time you took it?

Sweet101, yes! Some questions were even the same from all sections! So if you were retesting, try to remember the ones you had a hard time with the first time and google em. I guarantee you a 100% you will see the same questions as previous!

I was wondering the same thing, I have actually heard some people took the exact same test since there are only 2 versions of it. I need to score about 15% higher the next time I take it, however, I am not as worried about the science now because I am taking microbiology and chemistry so a lot of questions I know I missed before make more sense now that someone has taught me the information vs. me trying to teach myself. I will definitely use the link for math help, thank you!
