Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi all, curious if anyone is applying to the program at St Elizabeth this year.

I applied, but have not heard back yet.

Still haven't heard anything, should be soon by the looks of last year's forum though

I would think they'll start scheduling interviews soon. La Roche in Pittsburgh had the same deadline, and they started making calls a couple of weeks ago.

My interview invitation arrived today. Does anyone know how the interview is structured (technical vs personality)?

How did you receive the invitation (email or snail mail)? I still have not heard back :(

Anyone else get an acceptance letter?

Sorry*interview letter

Mine came via regular mail. They are interviewing Mondays and Fridays through February. The letter said to call and schedule your interview by Jan 29th.

You guys know much about the program? I've been looking but can't find much. Do they do blocks, do they compete with residents for cases, stuff like that. Thanks

The only details I've been able to find are from other threads, dating back as far as the early 2000s. It sounds like the hospital in Youngstown is pretty busy, so SRNAs end up with a ton of experience, but I've also read several posts from people saying the program is very hard on their students. I'm not sure what that means exactly, or if it still holds true. I'd love to hear more info from others.

Hey all. So I interviewed yesterday. They confirmed that it was very difficult. Also, they are big on interview etiquette eg ( eye contact) my eyes tend to wander when I think. The director reminded me to look at her at least twice. The quiz had tricky questions and stuff I hadn't seen since nursing school. Also, Q's about medications
