trouble finding ccu jobs.

Hello guys, i wud be graduating in may,08, and have been reading this forum for teh length of my degree. now that i am in my final semester, i dont know where to look for critical care jobs. i talked to a few recruiters, and they repeat the same story "new grads are usually hired in medsurge"..... wud somebody give me any helpfull hints/advice as to where to look for jobs apart from medhunters.com, and individual hospital websites. also, can i do anything while i am in school to reinforce my competitiveness...like reading critical care books etc....

I am curious about this as well. I am starting a Accelerated BSN program in May of this year and am trying to plan ahead to go into a CCU job right out of school. I have also been told that they are hard positions to get as a new grad, but I want to get the experiance and get to applying to CRNA programs ASAP. I am currently trying to get a PCT/PCA position at the hospital that I plan to work at after graduation in hopes of getting to know people to help me get an "in" once I graduate. Any suggestions?
