Looking for CRNA's in Pensacola, FL

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hello everyone,

I am an SRNA in FL, currently only in my second semester. I am looking into moving to Pensacola, FL after school is finished. We are going to be visiting up their on vacation very shortly to check out the area. I wanted to get an idea of how the hospitals and the anesthesia groups are there. It is not finalized that we will be moving just an option for us. So anyone that lives in this area please give me some input on the location and job market for CRNA's and maybe some places to check out while I am there.

Thank you for the help!!

Hi!,

I lived in Pensacola, Florida for 6 years in the from 1990 -1996. While I was there there 3 hospitals in the area. Baptist Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital (has large peds section), and West Florida Hospital (the only for profit hospital in the area). I worked at Baptist for 3 years. I worked in the intensive care units and liked it, but eventually moved back home to Michigan. Being a CRNA was not a thought for me at the time, so I don't have a great deal of information on the surgical services, but those are the hospitals that I am aware of in the area. Good Luck! Don't live on Santa Rosa Island or any of the other barrier islands, they get torn apart by hurricanes way too often!
