ICU as a New Grad

Hey! I am in nursing school and was wondering if I could get tips on how to become a CRNA. I have a 3.4 GPA and am hoping to get into LSUHSC or OLOL. This past semester I got two C's though.. do I still have a chance? They require that I get one year experience in ICU before I apply. Can I get an ICU job without being a tech first? What are the C's in? If they are a science related class then you may consider retaking it but your GPA will be sufficient. Yes 1 year of ICU is the minimum that is needed for all programs but most programs prefer at least two. You can get a job in ICU without being a tech just don't get discouraged if you don't get into ICU straight out of school. Once you get into ICU and have enough hours then test for your CCRN. If they schools that you are looking at require the GRE then take that as well. You will also have to have your BSN or a Bachelors in a science related field with your RN.
