CRNA School and Bachelors question

Hello Everyone, I'm currently thinking about attending a school that offeres a BSN, which is accredited by the State yet I don't believe that they are regionally accredited. Will this affect my chances of getting into a CRNA program later on? The BSN program is a lot of money, and I would be done in 3 years, I just don't want to spend that kind of money if my degree doesn't count when I want to apply to CRNA school. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You Misty

Ever consider an accelerated BSN program? I had a degree in Chemistry and attained by BSN in 12 months. Loyola University Chicago. It's a good school. Not cheap, but who is anymore? Go to a school where there is no question when it comes to accreditation. Keep in mind that if you decide to pursue anesthesia, you will be more than likely competing for a very limited number of seats with some individuals with pretty impressive backgrounds...Good luck.

you can check with the AANA or COA to see if the school is recognized as an accredited program. you can even ask the CRNA school you're interested in if the BSN school is 'acceptable' or recognized.
