Hey everyone,

Been lurking these forums for a long time but finally have a question that I haven't found an answer to. My family and I will be making the move to the metroplex before long to start my career at TWU. Locating quality child care is proving quite the challenge. My wife is also a nurse so we need someone who can live with our chaotic hours. Any Suggestions?

Thanks!

JumpNurse, I moved multiple times with children (not for anesthesia school though). There are usually child care referral resources that will give you info about the types of providers you're looking for--available at odd times, near where you'll be living or spouse's employer, etc. and contact info as well. Ask at the university or call a real estate agent, for starters.

Have u decided what area u will be living in? And what hospital will your wife be working at? Some of the hospitals actually have on-site childcare, such as Baylor All Saints (I think), Cook Childrens, etc. There are lots of other places too depending on the area of town you will be living in. I would call the realtor you are using to help you with getting childcare info.

Thanks for the insights. Ft Worth will be a drastic change for me. We are still looking for housing and would like something close to campus, but the neighborhood around the school didn't seem ideal. Look forward to seeing everyone this fall.

Check your PMs. I sent you a message.
