None of the CRNA schools in my area require the CCRN for application.
Are there any CRNA Profs out there who feel it should be a prerequisite to apply to a CRNA program?

you should maintain it until you pass your crna boards.
I agree. It will only cost you the fee to renew since you will be getting plenty of CEU's through your CRNA courses. Also if you are ever thinking about going into education it looks good. You know how it is in the education world...the more letters behind your name the better you look to the university.
