Trying to find SOMEONE who has been accepted into UTMB's Summer 2013 Family nurse practitioner program. I cannot find any threads, would just like to know who else has been accepted to get to know my class. Thanks!

Have you guys bought books yet?

I have a mac too. i bought a cheap PC because I didnt want to deal with any issues with testing or anything like that. :-/

I have not bought any books yet, I looked online at the bookstore website and it has books listed for advance assessment/pharm. Although Im not sure if it would be best financially for me to buy all the books listed. I mean most of us have a basic pharm/assessment book. They have advance pharm or something like that that might be a good investment but not sure about the others. I might wait to speak to someone before I spend all that money on buying books?

Does anyone know any information about scrubs? Is there a certain place for us to purchase them?

Glad to hear everyone was able to enroll! Maybe we can find out about purchasing books on orientation day? As far as Mac goes, I didn't purchase parallels yet but have Microsoft office for Mac. I've been told (not by staff or anything) that it works just fine without the parallels, but will still wait to see on orientation day.

It's getting cloooosseeerrrr :)

Has anyone in the Houston area started looking for proctors for testing? Not sure if this is something they will give us more information about at orientation or if we should already be looking...

I got accepted too, but haven't accepted yet. (working out the kinks). I am interviewing in a couple of places in Houston to be closer to school... (I'm from the very south). Should I tell my new employer about the program? I'm applying for a prn/part-time position...

Does anyone know what time and where the orientation on May 2-3 will be held?

I created a facebook group just now titled UTMB NP Summer 2013 Start. I wanted to include our colleagues in adult/gero as well since we will have many of the same core classes. Request to join and invite all the friends you have made at orientation!

Can any one tell me how long it took to find out if you were admitted after they received all of your supplemental application material?
