Timeline for Certification?

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't figure out how to search this board. I am trying to figure out if I will make the deadline for a loan forgiveness program and can't figure out how long it will take to be able to sit for the board and become certified after I graduate. I am in the Adult Primary care NP program in Florida and plan to take the ANCC boards. I know that it generally takes about 6 weeks after you apply online to receive authorization to test from the ANCC, and that you gets your results immediately after you test. How often do they offer the tests? Is it generally available pretty often throughout the year, or only a few times a year? I remember with the NCLEX there were a ton of date options so I'm hoping it's like that. I've also found out that you can apply online before you graduate and then they'll send you the ATT as soon as they get proof of graduation, has anyone done that?

My next question, after you test & get your results, (if you pass) how long does it take for the BON to receive your results & issue you your certification?

Thanks so much for your help!

Angela
