Statement of Professional Objectives

Hello! I need motivation to complete my Statement of Professional Objectives for FNP school. I have literally been writing this thing for over a month and have the bulk of it completed (the school asks very specific questions to be addressed).

I am happy with what I have so far, but I need to incorporate a strong statement of why my Nursing school gpa is only a 3.07. It meets the school's minimum requirement of 3.0 but I'd like to address it in my statement. I feel my background as an RN (12 years, ICU, Navy Nurse Corps, deployments, leadership, etc) will make me a better candidate overall, but I'm still worried that gpa black eye may do me in. What is the best way to address this? I dont want to use the "young and stupid" excuse (although that was a factor lol). Any suggestions?

**Edit - I am applying for Fall 2017 so still have time but they are accepting applications now and I would like to get mine in early for review.
