How valuable is a preview day? Specifically Union Universtiy and Vanderbilt

I am looking at Practitioner programs to apply to. And my first choices are Union and Vanderbilt, other choices are University of Memphis, Frontier, UAB, University of Arkansas, and University of TN (DNP).

Vanderbilt and Union have their preview days next weekend. I can swing them (with some difficulty on my children), but are they valuable? Do they increase my chances of getting into one of these schools or is it just for my information only? I will have a 3.5-3.8 when I finish in May with my BSN. Been a RN eight years, with three certifications during that time.

My ADN gpa was horrid, and my overall is a 3.04 and may rise to a 3.1. Union wants a 3.0 on AP I and II and Stats. I have two C's in A and P and a B in stats-- so is it even worth my time to attend preview? Vanderbilt feels like it is out of my league, but I am being optimistic.

TIA!!
