Anyone? I need advice from FNP students going to school and working. What would be an ideal work schedule? I want to discuss it with my manager soon.

Hi there, I am currently in the program I'm about a year and a half away from graduating. My advice is to start finding nurse practitioners now that are willing to precept you, especially with psych outpatient which I am having trouble finding. Teachers are very nice... It is still busy work. If u are like me and do not get abstract concepts as much then I suggest take graduate stats by itself... You will end up having to teach yourself graduate statistics and learning how to use the program by yourself which can be frustrating and time demanding if u are also working and taking another class. I felt like I was walking on eggshells the whole time I was taking that class... I wish I took it by itself...that was the only class I felt that way so far maybe because it required a lot of work and I was too unfamiliar with it and it been a long time since I took basic stats. Other than that all the other classes I took were a great learning experience

I took stats along with pharmacology and I think...patho. It was full load. It was not fun. A foreign language actually. Its nothing like undergrad stats that we were required to take. Let me know if you have any questions about anything specifically, I'd be glad to help!

I am looking into the program at ASU as well post-masters and was wondering when setting up clinicals, since I have to work full-time, is it allowable to do them on Saturdays? I know of areas that are available to do this. Is there also a lot of research and writing papers and how is that demand?
