Hello Guys,

I promised myself that was going to write my first topic and become a memeber if i passed the AANP cert exam. I got very depressed when i didnt pass the first time, it was devastating to me. I wanted to share with you guys how i passed the secund time and what i did different.

The first time i was laid back, i only studied 3-4 h per day Mon-Fri. I did Barkley CD's and book, and also read the Codina book and the question on the back. I also purchased Board Vitals. I went and took the test 2 months after starting my study and I didnt pass, i got a 428. To be honest i knew i didnt pass as soon as i got up of that chair and not because I didnt know the contest but because i was so so si nervouse that i was confusing every topic and changing questions.

2nd time

when i got home i was cryting very very sad and depressed but i didn't stop. I started the process of re-application by doing the 15 h CEU they ask for ( i did them in random topics) next day o went in and enteres the hours in the system. 2 days later i had my results and i was able to re-apply and pay to take the test again. That was a Wednesday and on Friday I had the ok to pick a new date.

This time i quit my job and studied 8 h a day for 2 weekd straight, no going out, no fb, no ig, nothing for those 8 h , only books and food. I didnt buy any new course, i grabbed the Leik ( codina ) book and started from the beginning and started doing cards of every topic, specially the ones on the exam tips on the book. When i finished the book i took a predictor test in Appea and i got a 65, that was a Wednesday. The next day i reviewed all my weakest areas and all my note cards again, and took another predictor on Friday and got a 73 % which they tell you is a good passing score. Saturday i reviewed all my notes and Sunday took the day to relax. Monday i passsed the test.

It took me 3 weeks exact from the day i didnt pass to the day I passed. It was the most stressful 3 weeks of my life. But i told myself I will pass, i have to pass, and iam going to pass.

I think the Leik book is awasome and i even think i got some questions straight from the back of the book in the test. the question on the test are short and straight forward.

Wish you all the best of luck and I wrote because i promised myself if i passed I wanted to let others know how i did it. This to let you guys know that you can do it if you take it serious and study hard!!!!

Thank you for sharing! I am taking boards in 2 months and have quit my job (due to moving to a new state). I plan on studying 6 hours per day I am not in clinic, and on the weekends. I also have the Leik book and doing the Barkley review modules that we use for school!
