MMR immunizations

hi. i have a question about the mmr vaccine. i have to submit a report to new york state about the immunizations for the students at my school. one student has had only one mmr vaccine in 2002 and just submitted recently obtained titers which show that she is immune to mmr. if nys requires two mmr vaccines but the student is showing immunity, does she require a second mmr vaccine? apparently the nurse i've replaced wasnt entirely thorough when keeping students records up to date and so this is a big head ache. any help would GREATLY be appreciated. thanks.

A second vaccine would serve no puprose for this student if titres indicate that she is already immune.

I would be surprised if your state doesn't have an exemption for students with proven immunity. Please check with your state school nurse liason or local health department.

Our state report filed every October includes columns for students who meet vaccine requirements, students with proven immunity, students with medical or religious exemptions, and students who are out of compliance. Have you seen a copy of your form yet?

yes I have. thank you for your help. it was my first day on friday and i am literally drowning in paper work.
