Advice for interview

I MAY (say your prayers!) be getting a call for an interview as a clinical research nurse in a hospital. Any advice on what to expect for the interview? Thanks! t.

Congratulations! I hope it works out for you...I work in this field and love it.

This is a job where you have to be comfortable working on your own. You will probably do a lot of self-scheduling. Being detail oriented helps (I have to work at this part of my job, it doesn't come naturally to me). The job is paper-work heavy -- but you also get to see patients. So good written skills and interpersonal skills are necessary.

I've worked in 5 different places now. All the interviews were pretty standard. What the interviewers seemed to want to hear was whether or not I felt I would fit into their group, and whether or not I felt I could handle the job.

Hypnotic nurse has some good tips. If you need to stress your strong skills, you might want to emphasize that you are organized and detail-oriented. Good "people" skills are important since you might be dealing with other nurses/doctors who outside of your immediate area. GOOD LUCK!!! :balloons:
