Am currently studding radiology and I came a cross a question "If a Pt has postrama pnemo, what are the chances that the pt will encounter the same illness in the future" I cant find a good source anything that states that a pt will or not..

Can someone help please and please type the source so I can take it to school.

Hi,

This might be of interrest?

I am a 26 year old man that have had pnemothorax for six times now.

During a two year period five years ago i experienced spontaneous pnemothorax five times.

Just a week ago I got hit by this spontanaeos phemothorax again. Quite sad.

Apart from this I am very healthy. 77 kg / 188 cm. Training a few times a week. Non smoker. Eating quite healthy food etc.

I would be happy to answer any of your questions if I can. And of course I would be very happy if some of you could give any hint about what I should do to avoid this pnemothorax thing...

Best Regards,

The pnemothorax patient

Hope this help.

Pneumothorax, the presence of air in the pleural cavity, results in a partial or complete collapse of the lung. It commonly results from rapture of the subpleural bulla, either as a complication or emphysema or as a spontaneous event in an otherwise healthy young adult, as your self.

Also it may be a complication of neonatal hyaline membrane disease and require prolonged assisted ventilation.

I wish I could help you in more detail but honestly I have to have your current history and also I don't have my M.D, license yet.

Here visit this web site and it will go in greater detail about spontaneous phemo.

NEO.

Google this spelling for more: pneumothorax.

recurrent pneumothoraxes may require intervention. Additionally, assisted ventilation has been trialed (read: CPAP), but I was unable to locate any definite study results.
