Nursing shortages

I am interested in finding out what the state of play is like up and down the country in relation to recruitment and retension of staff. In particular psychiatric nurses.

I would also be interested in finding out what local areas are doing to retain their staffing levels, maintain motivation in their staff and how these interventions are felt to improve patient care.

I am currently undertaking a BA Hons in Adult Behavioural Psychotherapy and for one of the assignments I felt it may be pertinent to undertake the above topic from a managers perspective. Therefore if anyone has any information or knows of anywhere where this information is held, I would really like to hear from you.
