Walla Walla CC Fall 2016

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey everyone, so I got accepted into Walla Walla CC- Walla Walla Campus for this coming school year! I am really excited and I am just wondering if there is any one else out there in the same boat! This is my first acceptance letter out of the schools I have applied for. I have applied to Gray's Harbor, Highline CC, and Walla Walla already and plan on applying to Wenatchee CC, Everett CC (where I took all my pre-reqs), Skagit Valley CC, and Yakima Valley CC. Any advise on which schools are better would be great, I sort of have a list going but I am willing to move any where in the state. Any advice would be great or fellow students excited for this school year! I am an open book when it comes to my grades and test scores so just ask!

Congrats! :D

Depending on your grades, test, and retakes (if any) you may have more or less options available. Also have you looked at BSN programs or do you not want that? I've heard shoreline CC is great, but really competitive. Tacoma CC? Are you not sure if you wanna go to Walla Walla? Or....?

I have looked into BSN programs but financially it makes more sense to go to a community college program first and then pursue an RN-BSN program. I have my AA in an environmental science (before I chose nursing) and it would require me to take several more classes to get into a BSN program. Not that I am not willing to do so, I just like the community college option. I have heard about Shoreline CC but I missed their fall application due date, it was right when I was studying to take the TEAS test. I didn't know that there was a school in Tacoma, I will look into it.

I am super excited to get into Walla Walla, I just don't have a lot of information about the program except what the school tells you. So I was just wondering if anyone had inside information on what the program was like from a students perspective!

Oh ok. I can see why you would want to do CC. They are normally harder to get into because they temd to be cheaper. Also depending on your gpa you might qualify for scholarships and what not. Depends on the school as well. Hmm...have you found their FB page? Some schools have that for specific majors, or they are student made. Hopefully you can find out more information about the school. :)
