hello, i was wondering if anyone here has any info on the adn program at robert morris college in chicago. i can't seem to figure out who they are accredited through.

it is a big school, so i would assume it must have accreditation, but all it says on their website and in the packet they sent me was that the nursing program "prepares students to sit for the nclex exam." i was thinking of going to visit, but i'm not sure...

Hi!

I've looked into the ADN program at RMC but not sure who they are accredited thru either. I've talked at length with different people there and I'm annoyed by some of their answers. Their ADN program costs around $60,000 for the entire thing! Kinda pricey for a 2 year degree. I graduated from RMC with a BA in Business Management but they insisted if I were to apply for the ADN program I would need to take the ACT test again and I would only be juded based off of my HS GPA and my pre reqs for the program. Uh sorry, I'm 30 years old with 15 years more life experience AND a college degree- I'm not taking a test designed for a 15 year old kid. They were accepting 20 students for the next session in the fall. They did tell me though that since it's run out of the Chicago campus they would be doing clinicals at places like Northwestern Rush and UIC ....definetly terrific clincial sites but I'm just not in the mood for another 60K in student loans.

Wow, $60,000 is quite pricey for an associate degree! Plus, the fact that they don't seem to be accredited with any organization concerns me. They just told me that RMC prepares you to work as an ADN nurse in Illinois. And what you just wrote sounds really odd, you're a graduate from that college and yet you still have to take the ACT? I'm with you, I'd love those clinical sites, but I still think I'll take a pass on RMC. Thanks!

Just wanted to let people know who still wanted information on clinicals and such, I am a student at Robert Morris "University" who recently dropped the nursing program.

Nursing student clinicals were at Westmont going towards Aurora the first quarter you have clinicals. The last nursing class is currently going to a hospital in Aurora. Other clinical sites include Mercy Hospital, and as far as I know, we have not heard anything about going to Rush or UIC even though that's what we were told at orientation.

If you are living in the city without a car, you're out of luck.
