Need advice

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi everyone. I'm new to this. I'm not a nursing student yet. But I really want to be. My first year of college was okay. But bio 2050. Which is the first biology I have to take. Really tripped me up. So thinking that I would breeze through it. I took a summer course. This would mean that I've taken the course twice and still didn't receive the grade I would have liked. Now my advisors are telling me that I need to write a letter to the head of the nursing program explaining to them why I needed to take it 3 times. Once I write the letter they can either approve or dis approve my letter. If they dis approve my letter, I'm told that I would have to change my major. Nursing is what I really wanna do and I've made some mistakes. But now I'm trying to prove that I will be 100 percent focused. Could you guys give me advice on what I should say to make my letter good enough. So that it will be approved? I know what I wanna say. But I would really love for this letter to be approved

Good day, Jwillia:

If I understand what you wrote, you took a biology class during a regular semester (15/16 weeks), and got less than a C. Then took it again in the summer and got less than a C, correct? Now, you need to write a letter stating why you should be allowed to take it a third time, correct?

I recommend deep introspection looking at what were the real reasons you did poorly each time along with why you believed that doing poorly the 1st time that by taking the same class during a fast paced summer class would be a "breeze." If you can identify those three main areas then you can start listing how you plan to correct those three areas. When you have that information, you then have the key areas of the letter.

Thank you.

Thank you. I plan to write this letter ASAP. I hope it gets approved
